3d and the Kangaroos

Friday 28th September was the Bilingual Junior High School’s hiking day and 3d went to Bad Vöslau for a walk up Harzberg. The weather could hardly have been better – it was a beautiful, warm day with a cloudless sky. The short, but steep walk up to the top of Harzberg was rewarded wth great views from the lookout tower and the opportunity to see the kangaroos that live at the Schutzhaus – not really the sort of animals you would expect to see round these parts!
The rest of the walk was very easy going, taking in the disused quarry and some caves before returning to Bad Vöslau for an ice-cream and the last few meters to the train station. The perfect way to see in the weekend – perhaps we should do something like this every week?
