Altenmarkt Part 3 – Thursday

Our last full day in Altenmarkt has been another great one. After their morning lessons and a good lunch the pupils did a treasure hunt, answering questions as they made their way through the town. This was followed by a choice of activities – fifteen adventurous pupils went with Mrs Wolfram and Mr King for a bike ride along the river to Radstadt, where we stopped at the town square for an ice-cream. Lovely!
The highlight of the day was definitely the disco – an opportunity for some to dress up and feel like a teenager (again… 😉).
This was followed by the prize-giving ceremony for the best-kept room of the week. After much deliberation the teachers managed to decide on two winning rooms, both of them occupied by boys! This is almost certainly the first time in the history of humankind that this has happened. It may never happen again.. Who knows? We are simply grateful to have experienced such a historical event first-hand.
