DigiMEDIA Group in Valencia – Day 3

Tuesday was a cultural day and we visited the Oceanogràfic València, which is without doubt the most impressive aquarium I have ever seen. This, perhaps, should not be surprising, as it is the larges on ein Europe! Check out the link to find out more about it. Everyone agreed that it was an absolute highlight, with some amazing things to see. Four hours were barely enough to take everything in. We then took a stroll over to a nearby shopping centre, where we could eat and shop for souvenirs.
The final hour or so was spent at the City of Arts and Sciences. This place is just amazing! For anyone even remotely interested in architecture, it is an absolute must-see. Of course, for our Instagram-friendly band of kids it provided many a fine selfie opportunity! At the nort-western end of this area is the most wonderful opera house you can imagine – when Santiago Calatrava designed this, he really knocked the ball clear out of the park. Quite simply breathtaking.
