Photography Project

The fourth-year classes have been concentrating on photography in their Art lessons – categories were discussed in class and then suitable photographs were taken. Each pupil’s works are compiled in a personal portfolio which counts towards the semester grade.

The scene outside my window…

This week’s art assignment for the 1st year classes was “The scene outside my window…” – either what they see or what they would like to see.

Asterix and Obelix

On 29th October 1959 the first Asterix adventure appeared in Pilote. Written by Rene Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo, Asterix went on to become famous all over the world, even making it onto the big screen. Today, over 60 years later, Asterix comics can still be bought in just about any newsagent’s or bookshop.
The 3rd-year pupils have been experimenting with images from this famous comic series. Enjoy the amazing results!

It’s springtime!

After six weeks of home schooling, spring is well underway, as can be seen in these artworks produced by our first-year pupils during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Dürer’s Young Hare

In December the first-year pupils went to the Albertina and saw the original Young Hare, painted in 1502 by Albrecht Dürer. Now they have been creative themselves: this is a small selection of their fantastic artworks on the topic “My Young Hare”.
