3d in North Devon – Wednesday

Wednesday was yet another fantastic day with beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine. The morning lessons were great fun again and there was time for the obligatory KFC visit before boarding the coach to Lynton and Lynmouth, two wonderfully picturesque villages connected by a water-powered funicular railway, the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway. Built in 1888 it is not only completely water powered, but also the highest and steepest one of its kind in the world.
Of course, we wouldn’t want to deprive the pupils of a chance to go walking in the countryside, so we departed the coach in the Valley of Rocks and then walked along the coastal path to the villages, enjoying the incredible views from the cliffs. Another Grand Day Out!
