Since we are flying to Bray, Ireland this year, we decided to get “emotionally ready” and checked out the Vienna Airport. 
In the waiting area Mrs. Fasching and some kids tried out the cool flight simulator and after a quick security check, we got on a dubble decker bus and enjoyed a nice “back stage” tour of the airport.
We saw many planes take off and we learned a lot of new things. Afterwards we split up into groups and received more information via video clips in little lounges.
At the end of the tour the class was even allowed to visit the 22nd floor of the tower – one of Europe’s highest.
All in all it was a great day and now we just can’t wait to fly to Ireland – for many kids it will be their very first time in a plane!
