On Wednesday 4th November the forth-year classes travelled up to Theiss to visit the EVN’s gas power station. An interesting and entertaining presentation was followed by drinks and a snack. After a tour of the power station the EVN even provided us with lunch as well. The only fly in the ointment was the fog, which unfortunately made it pointless to go up to the lookout tower – in more accommodating weather provides it tremendous views.
After lunch we jumped back on the coach and went to the Technical Museum in Vienna, where we watched another presentation, this time about high-voltage electricity. All in all a very pleasant day that even the hard-working teacher team were able to enjoy.
