4f in Bray – Saturday

Saturday finally put an end to the continental weather we had been having and brought along some of the more traditional Irish stuff we had all been looking forward to so much. No sooner had we boarded the coach to Glendalough than it began to pour with rain. Good news for the stall-holder selling ponchos…
From Glendalough we continued on to Powerscourt, with its exquisite landscape garden. This is regarded as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Well worth a visit if you ever find yourself in Ireland.
This was our final day in Ireland and with a 2 am start the following morning it was to be an early night for Mrs Lattinger and Mr King (after some very good Indian food). Meanwhile, judging by the tired faces the following morning, the pupils didn’t get much sleep at all…
